Rowing State Championship Titles

Congratulations to our Loreto Rowers who have spent the last week in Penrith, NSW for the State Championships. With 1400 competitors from all States, the Rowing Regatta is deemed one of the most prestigious and is used to select Senior, U23 and U21 National Team crews.

Schoolgirl Coxed Squad (Year 10): 1st & 6th in A Final
U17 Women’s Coxed Quad: 3rd & 7th in A Final

U23 Women’s Pair (Charlotte & Mariah): 6th in B Final

U23 Women’s Pair (Deanna & Victoria): 3rd in B Final

U21 Lightweight Women’s Single Scull (Victoria): 3rd in her Heat and 5th in Final

Seniors U19W4+: 1st in the Heat, 4th in Final (0.51s from silver)

U21 Women’s Pair (Charlotte & Mariah): 6th in Final

Deanna rowed in a composite crew with two girls from Sydney and a girl from Canberra. The crew were in the lead from start to finish in the U19 Women’s Quad event, with Deanna receiving the gold medal and State Champion Title.

U17 Women’s Single Scull (Victoria): 1st in the Heat, 1st in the Semi-Final, 1st in the Final (finishing 5sec ahead of 2nd place)

Well done to all girls who very proudly represented and showcased Loreto amongst the strong competition.

Additionally, the Performing Arts department is preparing for upcoming concerts, drama productions, and celebrating student talent in the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Our Year 12 Drama students have been working hard to bring Talking to Brick Walls to the stage! This hybrid verbatim play explores the ever-evolving dynamic between parents and teenagers—asserting independence, figuring out identity, and seeing things from both sides.
